Kevin Spann Obituary

Kevin Spann …son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, grandfather, and friend, departed his life October 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Born June 1, 1968 in Chicago, IL to Florence and Guss L Spann, he was the oldest of three children. Kevin’s paternal grandparents, Mary and Benjamin Haynes and maternal grandparents, Lettie and William Veal preceded Kevin in death. Kevin’s uncles, Benjamin Jr. and Larry Haynes, and George Maple; Preston Veal, Matthew Veal, and Henry. Kevin’s aunt, Estella Whitten and Cassandra Haynes all preceded Kevin in death.

Kevin accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. Kevin graduated from Paderewski Elementary School in 1981 where he played basketball. Kevin also attended Hyde Park and Farragut High Schools. Kevin was an avid listener of “House Music” and as a “Spann ~Veal”, he always had something “funny” and “smart” to say! Kevin was also known as “Spoon” and “Snoop Dog”!

Kevin later relocated to Jesup, Georgia where he worked at Store wide Services Gl in Jesup, Georgia as a laborer. Kevin met Brenda Davis and was scheduled to be married on October 25, 2019. Kevin loved spending time with his grandchildren. He would always say, “I have all my grand kids right here with me”! Kevin loved all of his children and wanted the best for them. He was often seen playing with the grand kids having a great time! Kevin will be missed by all! On October 12, 2019 Kevin made his sudden transition to be with the Lord.
