Obituary for Martha Mae Spearman

God blessed the earth on November 30, 1935 with the birth of Martha Mae Madlock Spearman. She was born in Sardis, Mississippi and raised in Batesville, Mississippi to her God-fearing hard working parents Jessie B and Hattie Mary Madlock.

Martha attended Patton Lane High School where she completed her secondary education. Martha joined in holy matrimony to Charles L. Spearman and they raised 10 beautiful children. Martha enjoyed a successful career in retail. She retired from Burlington Coat Factory in 1996.

Martha dedicated her life to serving Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of New Horizon Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a choir member and usher. Martha had a way of making all she encountered feel loved and cared for, unconditionally.

Martha departed this life on November 19, 2017 in the presence of loving and devoted children.
