Life Celebration of Anthony Robinson Anthony “Tony” Robinson was born on October 30, 1958 in Chicago, IL to Murray and Ornzie (Howard) Robinson. He was the fourth of six children and the social butterfly of the family. In his youth he attended Delano Elementary School, Lawrence Upper Grade Center and George Westinghouse Vocational High School 1976. Tony had a passion for stepping and was an avid music lover. If the right song was played Tony was looking for a partner. He was smooth and he knew it. His love of music was passed down from his father. He could listen to music for hours and could tell you the artist and when it was released. His next love was his grandchildren and his younger nieces and nephews. It was not uncommon to find him going on a candy run when all the young ones were over or cooking something because one said they were hungry. He had a huge heart and would give you the shirt off his back. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Tony was a Christian. He believed and trusted God. God was his Jehovah Raah. On Friday, June 19, 2020, Anthony “Tony” Robinson, loving brother and father of three children, passed away at age 61. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Murray, and his mother, Ornzie. He is survived by his three children, Anthony Jr.,KeErica, and James B., his siblings Helen (Charles) Wimberly, Gloria (Harvey) Johnson, James (Barbara) Robinson, Eric (Mary) Robinson and Myron (Vin Ellen), five grandchildren and one on the way, an uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
