Arthur Lee Taliaferro

Arthur Lee Taliaferro was born August 11, 1946, to Lutherlia and Lue Ora Taliaferro in Water Valley, MS. Arthur confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bayson Chapel Church in Water Valley, MS. He would later join St. Paul M. B. Church. The latter part of his life, he kept God close and attended various churches. Arthur was born as a twin to Jimmie Taliaferro who proceeded him in death.

He attended Water Valley Public Schools. He would later develop an expertise in the building construction industry as a foreman and led several successful construction teams. He was employed with Winpak for over 10 years where he was a Forklift Operator and retired with this company. He later came out of retirement to serve as a team associate with the Walmart Corporation in New Lenox, IL.

Arthur married his high school sweetheart Cordia Taliaferro, and they had 3 daughters (Autrice, Arlen and Jackuline Taliaferro).He later married Kathryn Hall Taliaferro, and they had two daughters (Jaydine Hall and Reena Taliaferro). With this union included bonus children David Hall, Randolph Hall and Phyllis Hall-Scott. Arthur had five daughters which made him a “girl dad” for sure. He was loving, kind, devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a favorite uncle to many of his nieces and nephews.

Arthur transitioned on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Jackuline Taliaferro, stepson David Hall, 3 brothers,

Rev. Ervin Ray Taliaferro, Sr., Richard Taliaferro, and Mario Taliaferro; his sister, Carolyn Taliaferro Johnson; and his nephew, Frankie Taliaferro.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories…. Daughters: Autrice Taliaferro, Arlen Taliaferro, Jaydine Hall, Reena Taliaferro, Phyllis Hall-Scott, and Randolph Hall. Grandchildren: Kennedi Bonds, Karlen Bonds, Antonio Hall, Mariana Smith, Quentin Brown Jr., Martin Rose, Caleb Scott, MiKayla Taliaferro, Maleena Taliaferro, Jamar Taliaferro, and Patrice Hall. Great grandkids: Jakari Anthony, Ma’Kylie Smalley, Khaleel Hardmon, 4 brothers: Dewitt Taliaferro, Jesse (Faye) Taliaferro, Michael (Sharon) Taliaferro and Fabian (Monica) Taliaferro, 2 sisters: Clara Heard Howard and Lula Hall; a special friend, Rosa Lopez and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
