“Celebrating A Faithful Woman”

On this day, we gather to celebrate the life and home going of Barbara Ann Fleming. Barbara was a Mother, Daughter, Grandmother, GiGi, Sister, Aunt, Friend and a true Believer and soldier of Christ . Barbara was born to parents Rollie Fleming and Carretha Johnson on October 12, 1950, the third of nine children. She survives her twin, who passed away at birth. Barbara confessed her life and Faith to Christ early in life and remained devout throughout her lifetime.

Barbara was admirably amicable - a compassionate, dedicated servant. She worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant until she could no longer serve in that position to her full capacity.

Whenever Barbara was approached, she cheerfully greeted everyone with a huge, friendly smile - though toothless, still warm and radiant.  She would have a hearty laugh waiting for your exciting stories, a Bible verse and a prayer if you needed it. Despite all she has gone through, Barbara maintained her joyous, robust attitude toward life. She was, is and will always be remembered for her positivity and love for God and others.

Barbara’s ultimate prayer was finally answered on April 12, 2018, when she was called to meet Jesus face-to-face. Heaven's gates opened up to her, where she was greeted with open arms and God's Grace.

Barbara leaves cherished memories to be shared and love to be held in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her only Daughter, Cassandra; Granddaughter Chenaii, Son/Nephew, Riley; only Great Grandson, Eric /EJ; Sisters, Vickie, Debbie and Marilyn; Brothers, Michael and Tommie; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollie Fleming and Carretha Johnson; eldest sister, Wilola; baby brother Dwane; and younger sister by one, Sylvia.
