Candace Patrice Nichols was born on February 18, 1983 in Chicago, IL and fell asleep to await the return of our LORD on May 27, 2020. Candace was loved and raised by her adoptive parents Curley and Patricia Nichols who both preceded her in death. She leaves behind lots of friends and family including her adoptive siblings, and her biological sister and mother whom she was reunited with approximately 10 years ago. Candace graduated from Curie Metropolitan High school and went on to study at Richard J. Daley College. Candace’s loving and caring spirit was exhibited in life everyday not only to the people who knew her best, but also in the work she did. She was sweet and patient with the children and elderly people she cared for and she worked hard to ensure their needs were met to the best of her ability. Ultimately, she put her care and concern for others even before her own. Candace was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that JESUS died and rose again, and so we believe that GOD will bring with JESUS those who have fallen asleep in Him.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 “But Your dead will live, LORD; their bodies will rise - let those who dwell in the dust wake up and shout for joy! Your dew is like the few of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.” Isaiah 26:19
