It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a beloved son, brother, loving uncle, cousin and veteran. Danny “Boy” Sellers was born on September 1, 1960, to Samuel and Ruthie Sellers. After fighting the good fight, he received his wings on December 25, 2023. Henceforth the 25th of December will be known to the Sellers’ Family as “Danbo Day.”
Danny led a life marked by courage, resilience, and a profound sense of duty and loyalty to his family and friends. Danny was affectionately known as “Danbo” to his nieces and nephews. He was a caring and loving uncle. His love extended beyond his blood ties touching the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Danny was the life of the party. He enjoyed having a good time. He seemingly never met a stranger. Everyone loved his fun-loving nature.
Danny was a veteran who served with honor in the United States Army from October 16, 1978, to October 18, 1984. Danny’s years in the military helped shape his character. Prior to the service he was shy by nature. After his tour he called himself, part man/ part animal - “Danimal.” Beyond his military service, he was a cherished member of the community known for his kindness and unwavering support.
Danny is survived by his mother Ruthie Sellers affectionately known as “My Baby,” by Danny; his father Sammie Sellers (preceded him in death); his brother’s Stanley (preceded him in death), Jeffery Benard, Derrick, and Sammy; his sister’s Cynthia (Karen), Yolanda, Catherine, Dorothy and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. As we mourn his passing, let us celebrate the legacy of a man who dedicated his life to principles greater than himself. May “Danny Boy”, “Danbo”,” Danimal”, Danny Sellers rest in eternal peace and may his memory continue to inspire us all. Bi-Yowww B!!!!
