Edward Clark, affectionately known as "Nig", passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at the age of 81 in Chicago, Illinois. He was born on March 11, 1944, in Isola, MS, to his loving parents, Clara and Serial Clark. Edward was the eldest of three boys and three girls: Mamie Williams (Calvin), Rose Bryant (Sam), Robert Clark Sr. (Lula), Willie Clark, Carolyn Lang (Arthur).
While living In Chicago, Edward spent majority of his work career at International Multi-Foods Corporation, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his loved ones. After 26 years of dedication to his work, he retired in 1996.
Edward was a man with a big heart. His personality was marked by his quiet strength and unwavering resilience. He was the patriarch of his family, always prioritizing the happiness and well-being of his family over everything else. He definitely had a funny sense of humor. Everyone would chuckle and laugh at the hilarious nicknames he would come up with for his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews!
Edward was preceded in death by his parents and son, Demerial. Edward leaves to cherish his children: Dyron (Donna), Kenneth, Lucille, Kelvin (Lisa), Keith (Aquilla), and Damien.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his surviving relatives which includes his loving brothers, sisters, children, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
As we mourn the loss of Edward, we also celebrate his life, remembering the joy, wisdom, and warmth he brought to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
And always remember, as Edward used to say: “Work smarter, not harder”
May he rest in eternal peace.
