Harold David Robinson Jr. was born to Harold David Robinson Sr. and Pamela P. Mercer in Chicago, IL on December 9, 1973. Harold (Rob) was the only child of Pamela P. Mercer. His grandmother Suzan Mae Robinson and aunt Alicia Mercer proceeded him in death. Harold made his transition peacefully Tuesday October 23, 2018. Harold accepted Christ at an early age. Harold joined Tabernacle of Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Michael T. Washington, where he was a faithful member of the Deacon Board. Harold attended Kohn Elementary School and was also a football athlete for Simeon High School in Chicago, IL. Harold then attended Everest College graduating with a degree in Medical Billing and Coding in 2006.
Harold met the love of his life Hope Trenace Washington in 1998. To this union one child was born and one child was gained. Harold loved his family and always referred to his girls as “Yung World” and “Pumpkin”, and his loving wife as “Ride or Die”. Harold enjoyed his life and traveled often with his family. Harold’s favorite past time was playing video games, cards, dominos, chess, and checkers with his baby. One of Harold’s favorite past times was taking long drives and just enjoying nature with his loving family.
Harold David Robinson Jr. was a master of all trades. He worked for SCR Transportation, and MV Transportation, in Chicago, IL. Harold then relocated to Des Moines, IA in 2014, where he worked for The United States Post Office, as a mail handler and union steward. Harold had a big heart and he loved his family and friends. Harold stayed in contact with many of his childhood friends, and his last words were always, “I love you.” If you had Harold as a friend, family member, cousin, brother, or even as an acquaintance. If he could speak he would say “It’s all good.” Harold was affectionately known by his family as “Rob/Robbie” and his friends as “Rust/Rusty Nail”.
Harold was a man with many talents and was known to give everybody nicknames. Harold was a fun, loving, and respected humble man that was the apple of his mother’s eye.
Harold leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Hope Trenace Washington Robinson, 2 daughters Kennydi Lai’un Washington and Karcyn Lémaya Robinson, his loving mother Pamela P. Mercer, his father Harold David Robinson Sr. (Shrie), his mother in law Carrie M. Washington, his loving grandmother Vivian Mercer “Granny”, 2 brothers Kobie Jai Robinson, Christopher Robinson, 1 sister Taryn Robinson, 4 aunts Debbie Mercer, Cynthia Mercer, Aleda Goodwin (Cornelius), Georgia Robinson, 3 uncles Halahliel Ben Cohan “Gregory Mercer”, Archie Mercer (Marsha), Pastor Al Mercer (Joy), 2 brothers-in-law Pastor Michael T. Washington (Kimberly), Willie Lee Washington Jr. (Diahann), 3 sisters-in-law LaVennit Westmoreland (Jimmy), Starletta Fornett (Roy), Faira Hartman, special cousins William Patterson (Anniece), LeCean Mercer, Tracy Mercer Hall, special friends Emmanuel, Ellis, Twan, Ray, Pete, Jeff, Boog, Jessica, Latrice, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
