Jessica Jamie Glover
Jessica Jamie Glover was born on December 24, 1986, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Jesse J. Glover, Sr. and Brenda Glover. She was the second of three children, with one brother, Jesse Glover, Jr., and one sister, Kelly Glover.
Jessica was blessed to be brought to the Church of God in a blanket, beginning a lifelong connection to her church family. She began her educational journey at Drexel Learning Center and later graduated from Ronald H. Brown Elementary Community Academy, both in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout her childhood, she faithfully participated in Vacation Bible School, summer camps, and various youth activities.
Jessica attended Fenger Academy High School in Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated with the Class of 2004. During her high school years, she fearlessly embraced opportunities to express herself, participating in talent shows that highlighted her creativity and vibrant personality. She was also an active member of the JROTC and the school's nursing program, where she completed an internship at Roseland Hospital. These experiences reflected her compassion and desire to serve others; qualities that remained with her throughout her life.
Continuing her educational journey, Jessica attended Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi, the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and Eastern University in Charleston, Illinois, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2011.
Shortly after earning her bachelor’s degree in 2011, Jessica began her professional career with Chicago RPDG as a Clerk. Through her strong work ethic, Jessica was promoted to Network Specialist in 2025. She remained a devoted employee, until her passing. During her years at Chicago RPDG, she met Shatara Jackson who became her best friend. Together, they shared countless memories as travel and shopping buddies.
To family and friends, Jessica was known for her generous heart and willingness to help others. She shared a special bond with her nieces and nephews, whom she loved deeply, and there was nothing she would not do to support them or bring them joy. During Vacation Bible School, Jessica would assist her mother with arts and crafts, helping to create memorable experiences for others. Jessica also has a passion for stylish gym shoes and was known for her impressive collection of sneakers.
Jessica embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. She treasured spending time with family and found happiness in traveling, scrapbooking, bargain shopping, and exploring new restaurants. Jessica was a food critic with an honest opinion. She was not shy about sending a meal back if it did not meet her expectations and often received something complimentary for the inconvenience. Jessica’s humor, zest for life, and care for others will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Jessica’s father, Jesse J. Glover, Sr., preceded her in death. Jessica leaves to cherish her loving memories, her mother, Brenda Glover; one sister, Kelly Glover; one brother, Jesse J. Glover, Jr. (Lauren); two nieces, Dajsha and Kassidy; five nephews, De’Monta, Devon, Donyven, Kendrick, and Karter; one great nephew, Jaxon; one honorary nephew, Madison; two aunts, Grace Obanner and Shirley (Dolly) Turner; two Godmothers, Mary Williams and Gillie Webber; her Godfather, Fred Campbell; her best friend, Shatara; friends, Justine and Ashley; along with a host of other family members and friends.
