Jimmy Lee (Mosley) King was born on April 11, 1944, in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Castoria Duncan (Mosley) who was married to Dallas Mosley. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Tupelo.
Jimmy confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He became a faithful member of Lighthouse Church of All Nations in October 2007 where he served as a member of the Usher Ministry and also served as a mentor in the Master’s Program to young men.
On May 5, 1971, Jimmy met the love of his life and faithful partner, Kathy, while they both were working at Sweetheart Cup Company in Chicago, IL. Not long after that, they were united in marriage on April 1, 1972, and are still married to this day – 52 years later! From that union, two beautiful children were born, Jeffry King (Fiancé Kim) and Deanna Willis (Charles).
Jimmy was the owner and CEO of King James Towing for 36 years. King James became a well-known name in the community. He loved to serve and help others. He also was an employee of the Chicago Police Department for 36 years until he retired in February 2008. Jimmy was efficient with his hands, so much to the point where he would take apart anything and could fix it, it didn’t matter what it was - cars, appliances, etc.
He was preceded in eternity by daughter, Bridget Jimmar, son, Emanuel Stewart and brothers Ossie Lee and Joseph Lee Mosley.
On December 6, 2023, the Lord stepped out of heaven, came down and grabbed Jimmy’s hand and walked him to his eternal place in heaven. He will always be cherished and remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.
Left to cherish his memories are daughter Patric Tina Mosley (Joe) of Chicago, IL, sons Jimmy Mosley of Chicago Heights, IL and Greg Green of Fulton, MS.
