Kenneth Darrin Shaw affectionately known as RED was the youngest of 3 children, born to LV and Dollie Shaw on June 27, 1959 in Chicago Illinois. LV Shaw, his father, preceded him in death. Kenneth attended Herzl Elementary School, Hess Middle School and graduated from Carter H Harrison Technical High School in 1977.
Kenneth accepted Christ and was baptized in 1972 by the late Rev. Edmond Jones at Mars Hill Baptist Church, in Chicago pastored by the late Clarence Stowers Sr. Kenneth was a hard worker and he loved to fish. His first job was at Burger King. After that he worked at Scentex Inc. and other temp agencies.
The last job that he took so much pride in, was at Schwarzbeck Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois. Although it was hard work, but he loved It. It was his long-term career job. He worked there until he became disabled.
Kenneth loved being with family and he could be hilarious at times. He had a great sense of humor despite all his health issues he kept you laughing. He was a fighter and he fought till the very end. He was blessed with a large and loving family.
Kenneth departed this life on Thursday June 19th 2025 at 4:00 am. He leaves to cherish, his loving mother Dollie L Shaw of Chicago, IL. 1 son Twan T Clay (Danielle) of Rockford, IL. 1 brother Al L Shaw (Sandy) of Cedar Hill, Texas. 1 sister Joyce R. McGee (Samuel/Sparkie) of Maywood, Illinois. 6 nieces and 7 nephews, 11 grandkids, 8 great grandkids, and 10 great, great grandkids, and a host of cousins and friends.
