Larry Tristan Austin Jr, affectionately known as Junebug, was born on March 26, 1986 in Chicago IL to the union of proud parents Wanda D. Austin & Larry Austin Sr. Larry was the second born of five children. He was a respectful, quiet, laid back, highly intellectual and intelligent young man who always smiled when he spoke to anyone. He was a beautiful soul who was a “ride or die” for his friends & family. If you ever called on him or needed anything, he was there to help.
In his younger days we traveled due to his father, Larry Sr., being in the military. Most memorable was Germany, where he enjoyed time with me and his older brother David (deceased). Larry had many gifts that he shared with the world. From the age of two, he was very creative when it came to drawing. I believe he developed this trait from my father (Ernest Young, deceased). While attending grammar school and through high school (Maine East located in Park Ridge, IL) Larry’s teachers would tell me that he had a special gift in drawing. My son and I were working on a project with YouTube and getting a recording studio with his younger brother Xavier. He loved his music, as do all my children. My hope is that his siblings continue with music in memory of their brother.
Larry and I shared plenty of laughs all of which I will keep near and dear to my heart. He truly loved his siblings and protected us all. He was a simple young man who had a heart of pure gold. We will all miss spending family time together whether it was recording videos or reminiscing, our time together was priceless.
Larry was a gentle soul and he never asked for much. Watching him grow from a little boy to a man brought an unspeakable joy to my heart. I, as his mother, can tell countless stories about who he was and what he meant to his family. He was Son-shine on a cloudy day and would light up a room with his infectious smile and unforgettable laugh. He was the best friend anyone could ask for and the best brother anyone could have. We all will miss this handsome young man dearly, but God called on him to conduct a symphony for the angels on May 6th 2020. I could not be happier to be his Mother and best friend. He is now with my other son, his older brother David, reunited and both are my angels now. I will keep both of their memories alive in my heart forever and always.
Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
