With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Lionor M. Zamora on July 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 11, 1941, in Uvalde, Texas, Lionor was the cherished daughter of Damien and Aurelia Mansanarez. Her life was one of profound love and dedication to family, embodying the spirit of warmth and hospitality in every gesture.

Lionor was united in marriage to her beloved Vicente Zamora Sr. on April 9, 1961, and together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of homemade tortillas and hot chocolate. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Vicente and their dear sons Baldamero Zamora, Wayne Zamora, and Vicente Jr. Despite these profound losses, Lionor's resilience and strength shone through as she continued to nurture her family with unwavering love.

She is survived by her children Mary Ann Zamora, Richard Zamora Sr., Anna Zermeno, Ellis Zamora, and Elva Zamora, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and family unity. Her legacy also includes her 13 grandchildren—Wayne Zamora, Manon Barwick (Billy), Brittney Cartalino (Jordan), Andrea Batarseh (Brandon), Bart Zamora (Anna), Jose Caballero (Nicole), Richard Zamora Jr., Alejandro Zamora (Dyanna), Lorenzo Zamora Sr., Maya Vargas, Liliana Zermeno, Denisa Vargas, and Ellia Zamora—who were the light of her life. Lionor's spirit also lives on in her 10 great-grandchildren: Kairi Barwick, Lola Barwick, Rocco Cartalino, Olive Zamora, Mila Cartalino, Ruben Davila, Kam'ron Mason, Finnick Barwick, Lorenzo Zamora Jr., and Lenora Lambert.

Lionor's heart was as expansive as her family, with a love that extended beyond her immediate circle. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like crafting the perfect tortilla or savoring a cup of hot chocolate, always with family at the center. Her home was a haven where traditions were celebrated and passed down, instilling in her descendants the values of togetherness and love.

Her family finds solace in knowing that Lionor's spirit will continue to guide them.
