Niesha Nicole Buchanan Canada, affectionately known as Moo-Moo or Ne-Ne, passed away on September 1, 2024, in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 36. Preceded in death by her Loving Mother, LaTanya Chestnut & Stepfather, Michael Chestnut Sr. Niesha was born to LaTanya Nicole Chestnut and Brian Buchanan Sr, on September 10, 1987, in Maywood, IL.
She dedicated her life to Christ at a young age. She was Baptist and became a long-term member of Holy Corinthian MB Church. To which she grew her relationship with God and practiced her faith. As a young girl, Niesha always displayed a passion for caring and nurturing people. As this would eventually define her life’s pursuits and relationships.
She was a pillar of strength and support, known for her intelligence, wit, and feisty nature. Niesha's early education took place at Emerson Elementary and followed by Proviso East High School.
She later in life pursued Culinary School. Her spirited involvement as a Maywood Bucs cheerleader and her love for volleyball were early signs of her energetic and engaging personality. Niesha carried her passion for life into her culinary pursuits, eventually founding her own catering business, Heavy Hands LLC, which was a testament to her excellent cooking skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
Niesha's legacy is cherished by her extensive family and all who knew her. Her life was a profound blend of love, courage, and dedication to her children, family and extended family ensuring that her memory will be honored and remembered by many. Though Niesha’s time with us was cut short, the depth of love and happiness she shared will forever remain in our hearts.
Niesha leaves to cherish her precious memories loving husband, Charles Canada Sr., and their six children: Charles Jr., Chaniya, Christinn, Christian, Charger, and Cherish Canada. She is also survived by her father, Brian Buchanan Sr., Mother In-law Anita Anderson and her siblings: Isaiah Gray Sr. (Kinsheila Eiland), Brian Buchanan (Christopher Alexander), Ruthie Robinson (Antoine Robinson), and Michael Chestnut Jr. Two brother in laws Robert Anderson and Alarie Canada. And a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Also preceded in death by her grandparents Pamela Gray, Conaway Gray, Harold Jones and her deeply cherished aunts, Barbara and Marie Buchanan.
