On March 24, 1981, Oscar Moore III was born to Oscar and Cheryl Moore, Jr in Chicago, IL. Brought up in the church, he received Christ at a young age. Raised in Bolingbrook, IL. He had an out-standing high school career being in the marching band, concert band, and jazz band. He was selected to be Bolingbrook High School’s first African American drum major. After graduation, he attended NIU but decided in his senior year to enlist in the Navy. Prior to shipping out, he eloped with his sweetheart, Hope Clark. Honorably discharged and living in Virginia, they divorced shortly after he returned from active duty. He then returned to Illinois. He would later meet Krine McDaniels, and they had 3 children. They married after the birth of their third child. Unfortunately, this marriage was dissolved and Krine assumed responsibility for the children.
Oscar went on to receive his associate’s degree from JJC (Joliet Junior College) and his bachelor’s degree from Governor’s State University. Later, he obtained his CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and worked in nursing homes. He loved helping patients, particularly the elderly.
Having returned to the church, he attended ICF (international Christian Fellowship), completing the Discover Life program. Unfortunately, he never achieved his desire to play his saxophone with the worship team, or work with the media group.
He is survived by his children, Oscar IV, Olivia Lucille, and Owen Arthur, his father, Oscar
Moore JR, his mother, Cheryl Pollard Moore, his sisters Winter (Fausto), Daron
(Christopher) and Sharyl, and his grandmother Eva as well as his great aunts and uncles, his aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends whom he loved and that loved him.
