Ruby Gean Clark

February 26, 1953 — March 6, 2019

Ruby Gean Clark, went to heaven on March 6th, 2019, peacefully in her home.

Ruby Clark was born February 26, 1953 to Lula Mae Conic and Marlton Conic in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She graduated from John Marshall High School in Chicago. Immediately following her high school graduation, Ruby enlisted in the Army branch of the military from 1971-1975.

After the Army, Ruby decided to live in Saginaw, Michigan where she resided for over 35 years. She received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Delta College and a few years later went to work as a Postal Clerk for the US Postal Service, where she was employed for over 20 years.

In 2014 Ruby uprooted from Saginaw and relocated to Houston, Texas for a change of scenery and to be near her oldest daughter Kieka. She looked forward to hosting her family when they came down for the “Family Dinner” every April. She always made sure there was a spread.

Ruby enjoyed bingo, family, good food, and a good game of the card game Spades. She loved her children and grandchildren and would do anything she could to help them to get ahead. She will be remembered for her patience and forgiving heart.

She was survived by her three children, Larry Conic, Kieka Clark, and Tasha Clark. Grandchildren, Larry Conic, Dominique Howell, Devonte Clark, Deija Clark, Dontasja Clark, Dasani Clark , Dontia Clark and Deja Boykins. Sisters Jo Ann Hall (Robert), Joyce (Kenneth) Riley and Brother Charles (Burma) Thomas and special niece Tonja Conic-Gardner. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents Lula Mae Conic and Father Marlton Conic. Siblings John Bankston, Marlton Conic Jr., Austin Conic (Pete), Lula Mae Conic (Lutchie), Diane Conic.
