Selena Ann Anderson

Selena Ann Roberts was born to Bessie Ophelia Roberts and Roosevelt Roberts on Saturday, November 17, 1951, in Chicago, IL. She was the youngest of three children.

Selena came into a relationship with Christ at a young age showing an early love for Bible Study, Sunday School, preaching, and teaching. In 1975, she met the love of her life, Alvin Corel Anderson. The two were joined in Holy Matrimony on June 18, 1976. Her life was made rich by the love she had for the Lord, her husband, children, family, and friends.

As an entrepreneurial spirit, Selena spent 50 years as a Tax Consultant and also worked late hours as a seamstress, sewing garments for friends and family, even creating her own wedding dress! She would often spend late nights reading the Word of God in her living room and praying in the quiet hours.

Selena was preceded in death by her parents Bessie and Roosevelt, her siblings Roosevelt Jr. (Rudy), and Marguerite. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Peter (and wife Wanda), Christopher (and wife Kristina), her three grandchildren, Khamryn, Julian, and Preston, and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
