Tiffany Rosemary Gill

June 5, 1983 — April 17, 2024

Tiffany Rosemary Gill was born June 5,1983 to the union of Gwendolyn Gill-Harris and Cleotha Harris in Chicago, Illinois. She was the only daughter born to this union. She was perceived by her father Cleotha Harris, her Uncle Gregory Gill, and her grandparents. She was born and raised on the West Side of Chicago,IL, and she received her primary education at Emmett Elementary School. She graduated from Best Practice High School in 2001. In 2011, she obtained her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education at Prairie State College. Even through battling her illness she had a rich employment history. She enjoyed working with children of all ages across the Illinois and Indiana education system as a Teacher and support staff.

At 17 years of age she was diagnosed with Lupus, an autoimmune disease. That attacks the healthy organs and tissue in the body. At the young age of 21 her kidney failed; but in 2014 by the grace of God she received a kidney transplant that lasted for years. After years with a healthy kidney the lupus attacked again leaving her to do dialysis. Even through the trials and tribulations she never gave up. She displayed her friendship publicly but bore her pain privately.

She accepted Christ and was baptized in 2012 at Victory Apostolic Church in Matteson, IL, she had many church homes that she served. Even in the hardest moments her love for God and her strength never wavered. In 2004, her first and only child Jamya Gill was born. The bond they shared from the start was unmatched. They were each others support system. The woman she’s become is all because of her dedication and love.

She leaves behind a host of family and friends including her mother, Gwendolyn Harris who has supported her throughout this journey. Her loving daughter Jamya Gill who was her Best Friend until the end. Her caring brother Antonio Gill (Barbby Gill) who always provided a shoulder to lean on. Her Aunt Valerie Gill-Taylor (Jerome Taylor), her Uncle Larry Gill (Joyce Atkinson-Gill),and her Aunt Cassandra Gill (Gregory Gill). She left a host of nieces and nephews and a legion of friends.
