Toya Rochelle Jenkins was born on April 2nd, 1947, at Cook County General Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She was the second of five children born to Timothy and Constance Jenkins and is survived by her brother Douglas Lynn Jenkins and sister Deborah Lee Jenkins. In 1967 Toya married William A. Jordan they had daughters from this union Myown Michelle Allison and Burgundy Chiffon Friscia. In 1991she married Eric Albert Boyd and gained two bonus sons Waymon Anderson and Kenneth Macon. Family means a lot to Toya.

Toya left us with not only beautiful thoughts and memories, but with some phenomenal human beings. We are talking about the Grandchildren of Toya Myown’s two sons ,Dexter D. Allison II and Damier J. Allison. Burgundy’s two children Jadyn M. Friscia and Ameryst A. Friscia. Her Bonus Son Waymon has two gorgeous daughters.

The title of Autie means so much and Toya wore it well. Toya was Auntie to Naima, Kenya, Little Doug, Cherryl, Joy Nina, and little Russell, Little John, Kevin, Greg, Eric, Karen and the list continues to grow with cousins as well.

Toya has fantastic in- laws that she kept in touch with over the years. Annette Daily(John proceeded her in death) Patricia Jordan -woods(), Clarence Jordan(Douise) Mariam . Mom loved being auntie Toya to a ton of Nieces and Nephews.

Her family kept growing through her husband. Her brother-in-law Dalbert Steel and his wife Adrian made mom Auntie Toya 4 times. She loved being an auntie. Eric’s family continued to grow, and mom gained many more brothers and sisters.

Toya attended Parker High School and then Chicago Teachers’ college and later Kennedy King College.

Her working career began with Sears in cosmetics. Blue Cross and Blue Shield became her career home where she grew and excelled to hold supervising and consulting positions. After retirement she enjoyed being an Uber diver.

Beyond her career, Toya was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing volleyball, softball, bowling, swimming, and participating in choir, stepping, and card games. She loved visiting casinos, listening to music, traveling, and indulging in her passion for food and storytelling. Toya's life was a celebration of love, family, and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who know her.
