Barbara Jean Davis

Barbara Jean Davis was born July 15th 1947 in Marvell, Arkansas to the late Rev. Evelyn Mackey Davis and Earl Davis.

She is also preceded in death by her sister Earlene Jackson and brother Harold Davis. Barbara and family later moved to Chicago where she accepted Christ at a early age. She attended Parkman grammar school and later attended Harper high school where she received her diploma. Barbara worked her earlier years packing candy at a facility where she was loved by many.

 Later, Barbara spent many years practicing karate. Barbara was truly a people person she always helped out anywhere she could with special events in the neighborhood including schools and churches. She was a true sports fan she loved all Chicago football, baseball and basketball teams. Barbara also, was a TV fanatic she would watch westerns all day and night unless sports were on. You better not stand in front of the TV, because Barbara would get you!

She leaves to cherish in her memory her daughter Jessica Davis, god daughter Tina Jones , brother Edward Davis, sister Delores James, (Peter). A nephew Herbert McCall (Wanda) two nieces Shawn James and Jawana James- Gutierrez A host of family and friends including special cousin Chantel Brewster and her best friend Marionette Thurman.
