Joe Michael Simpson was born in Chicago Heights, IL. on November 25th, 1975 to Beverly J. Simpson and Joe Ward. He was the youngest child of this union. Alongside Beverly J. Simpson, Joe Michael Simpson was adopted and raised by William Lee Simpson. William and Beverly Simpson created a blended family that included Joe’s three siblings as follows: Jennifer Marie Simpson, Tanya Latrice Simpson and Belinda Michelle Green. Joe attended Cornerstone Christian Academy and Crete-Monee High School where he graduated successfully.

Joe wed Lindsay Ann Galeas on September 3, 2010. He loved and cared for his wife and their family wholeheartedly. Joe spent his last days of life and communication with his wife. Together, Joe and Lindsay created a blended family of 4 girls and 4 boys who are as follows: Joe Michael Simpson jr., Gennifer Alexis Simpson, Mia Simpson, Justin Simpson, William Simpson, Juwann Jackson, Chloe Bryant and Karynah Galeas. They made many years of memories including family outings, days at the beach, concerts and date night dinners.

Family, friendships and Sports games were all extremely important to Joe. From going to Bulls, Bears and Sox games with his sister and cousins to maintaining a heartfelt relationship with his baby sister and his niece and nephew William Lee Simpson and Kiarrah Annice Simpson. He always looked out for his family the best way he could. Out of all his Uncles, Joe had the closest relationship with his Uncle Oscar Michael Richie. When Joe was first born, Joe’s mother plopped him right on Oscar’s lap. Oscar was like a father to him and has always ensured that Joe was cared for all the way up to his passing. Joe has also always kept in close contact with high school and childhood buddies as well.

Joe was a Jack of All Trades. He was employed in various capacities such as Forklifting, Printing and Manual Machinist. There was never a challenge that confronted him that he did not attempt to overcome. Joe is loved and treasured by many. He will always be remembered as the glue and backbone of his family. He loved his family with all his heart.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Lindsay Ann Galeas, Children Joe Michael Simpson jr., Gennifer Alexis Simpson, Mia Simpson, Justin Simpson, William Simpson, Juwann Jackson, Chloe Bryant and Karynah Galeas.
