Lester Walker was born April 16, 1953, in Westpoint, MS to Mary Ann Bailey & Lundon Walker (both preceded him in death).

He was the fifth child and the only one to survive. He confessed to Christ at an early age and joined Shady Grove Baptist Church in Westpoint, MS. Lester and his mother moved to Chicago, IL when he was six years old. Lester attended several elementary schools, but was most proud to be part of the first graduating class of 1972 at Martin Luther King High School. Most people may not know, but Lester was talented at wood carving and took this on as a passion and was an avid photographer. In 1976,

Lester married Chrystal Lee O’Neal and to that union their daughter Traka Walker was born. In 1993, he married Linda Bias and their family included one son Aubrey Jerome Bias (who preceded him in death), and two daughters Dr. Angel Turner (Arnold), Ashley Bias-Green (George),

For more than 45yrs Lester was a hard worker and had numerous jobs during his lifetime. He was employed at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL., Chicago Police Department (Print Shop) and later the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) at the Forest Glen garage before he retired.

Lester had one sister Mahalia Thompson of Spokane, Washington (who precedes him in death) and one brother David Thomas of Chicago, IL. Lester leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Linda Walker three daughters Traka, Angel and Ashley, five grandchildren Tiara Walker, Corsica Farr, Arianna Turner, Trevor Turner and Ashlynn Green and one great-grandson who carries his namesake King Lester Walker, one brother David Thomas, a host of aunts and uncles, Annie Mae (Chicago, IL), Julia Mae (Luville) (Westpoint, MS), Claude Sonny Johnson (Westpoint, MS), (the following preceded him in death): Aunt Ruby, Uncle Willie B., J.T, Robert Lewis, and Ivy Johnson. Lester also has a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom will miss him dearly.

Lester had a close bond like no other with his lifelong friends Lawrence (Beverly) Veal, Roosevelt (Skip) Floyd, Willie Bell, the Late Matthew Tate (Lillie), the Late Paul Grossette (Mary), and Peter Nichols, and one special friend Clyde.
