Wanda Faye Cosey

 Wanda Faye Cosey-McCall was born August 28, 1964 to Prince and Shirley Cosey. She was preceded in death by Herbert Cosey (son), Prince Cosey Sr.(father), Prince Cosey Jr. (brother) and Tara Cosey (sister). Wanda met Herbert McCall in 1981 and later married in 1997.

Wanda graduated from William E. Gladestone Elementary. And Calumet High School. She worked at daycare for her first job. Then rainbow and save-a-lot. She accepted Christ at a early age. Ten years ago she joined Starlight Saint James under Pastor C. B. Bradford.

 Wanda was a strong and helpful community advocate. She was a former local school council and a no child left behind board member for Chicago Public School. She also served as a board member for Kerfoot Block Club Organization. And neighbor rebuild community organization.

 Wanda was very family oriented. She was also very outgoing person. To know her is to love her.

Wanda departed this life on June 16, 2021. She leaves to cherish memories: her husband Herbert McCall. Her mother Shirley Cosey. Loving children Fatima, Chantel, Kychena and Princess. Two granddaughters Shekinah and Janyla. Three grandsons: Jamel, Jalyn and Jamel Jr. Two God daughter’s Marie and Nakyah. One sister Deborah (Clint) and two brothers Bernard and Darnell. And a Aunt Auntie Geri.

 Wanda leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Also four longtime friends: Paulette, Sherry Ann, Cathy T. and Daphne. Special son Dawson. Special Auntie’s Janie Brown and Ester Brown.
